This Privacy Policy explains how IELTSAlert (“we”, “our”, the “app”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and mobile application at ieltsalert.com.

• Account information: your name, email address, and phone number, which you provide when creating an account.
• Practice data: your test answers, band scores, and progress, so you can track your improvement.
• Content you create: community board posts, study-group messages, and whiteboard/slide content.
• Technical data: basic device/browser information required for the app to function.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account and verify your email with a one-time code.
• To provide practice tests, automatic scoring, and personalised feedback.
• To enable social features you choose to use (friends, calls, study groups, community board).
• To allow institutions to view the practice progress of students they create.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database). Verification emails are sent via EmailJS. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Voice Calls & Live Practice

Voice calls use peer-to-peer (WebRTC) connections. Audio is transmitted directly between participants and is not recorded or stored by us.

5. Microphone Access

The app requests microphone access only for the Speaking practice and voice-calling features. Recordings made during Speaking practice are processed on your device for scoring and are not uploaded.

6. Your Choices

• You can edit or delete your own community posts at any time.
• You can choose to post anonymously on the community board.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app is intended for users preparing for the IELTS exam. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without appropriate consent.
