- Typical IELTS requirement
- English-taught programmes commonly ask for around 6.0 or more.
- Tuition (rough guide)
- National universities charge a standard fee (around JPY 540,000 a year); private universities cost more.
- Student visa
- Student visa: your school applies for a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE), then you apply at the embassy.
- Working while you study
- Part-time work is possible with a permission to engage in activity outside your status.
- After you graduate
- Graduates can change to a work visa if they get a qualifying job offer.
